The Crown of Halacha

Choshen Mishpat

Our Choshen Mishpat program takes an innovate approach to teaching topics whose practical applications are not always well-known or fully understood.  We have chosen an order of presentation for the material that leads the talmid step-by step through the fundamentals of Choshen Mishpat, culminating with an exploration of beis din and its functional mechanics.

Each of the written modules of the course contains a lot of material.  Due to their length, we send out one to two lessons per week. The audio and video shiurim accompanying the course will focus on the practical applications of Choshen Mishpat as well as questions from the Sheelos UTeshuvos literature.

At the end of each section, students will take a series of exams in the topic and receive a teudah, certification, in that area.  At the end of the Choshen Mishpat course, students who have successfully completed and received certification in all of the areas will receive semicha in Choshen Mishpat authorizing them to teach and advise.  Student may elect afterwards to continue along an advanced track toward certification in dayanus.
